Just down the road from REGO-FIX’s U.S. headquarters in Whitestown, Indiana, Indianapolis-based machine tool builder HURCO has become a valued partner with whom we share a mutually beneficial relationship. At HURCO, REGO-FIX toolholding solutions – typically powRgrip – play a role in demonstrations and training sessions that help customers learn good machining practices and show them what precise toolholding can accomplish for them. At REGO-FIX, a HURCO 5-axis machine takes on test cuts, tool modifications and R&D tasks in our tech center.

The HURCO tech lab offers regular learning sessions to help newer machinists acclimate to their responsibilities and show more-experienced workers how to make the most – and take the best care – of their machines. For these demonstrations, HURCO typically uses REGO-FIX products. When HURCO customers are ready to complete equipment purchases, HURCO often uses its REGO-FIX hardware during runoffs that lead to final sign-offs. HURCO also uses our toolholding in its development testing and during its open house events.

Meanwhile, in the REGO-FIX tech center, the HURCO 5-axis mill stays busy as a test bed for internal research and development. We use it to test are our products to competitors’ offerings and when we run test cuts for customers who want to see if they can solve a machining problem with powRgrip. For these customers, we’re cutting their material and following their specs.

As partners, we use each other’s technology to achieve our own objectives, and we share our respective benefits with our customers. For both of us, that’s a great definition of a strong working relationship.
