When the Center for Machining Excellence (CME) originally welcomed its first guests in October of 2024, its grand opening attracted more than just continentally-based companies – it also caught the attention of precision-centered manufacturing businesses across the globe.
Brütsch Rüegger (BRW), a Switzerland-based Business-to-Business (B2B) tool and software provider, has been bringing high-quality Swiss precision to manufacturers worldwide for over 150 years. When deciding to expand its market further and establish a presence in North American manufacturing, BRW found REGO-FIX’s CME to be the perfect place to start.
Bringing hands-on learning to customers
Currently at the CME, BRW has multiple machines running its innovative software that provides better efficiency and accuracy for Industry 4.0 machining. Partnering with the CME creates a much easier solution for bringing BRW technology to North America in a real-time environment versus presenting it virtually from its headquarters in Europe.
“Nothing is better than showcasing your technology in a physical environment,” says Raphaël Müller, Head of Industrial Solutions at BRW. “You can demonstrate software through a computer screen, but being able to give potential customers real-time demos in person on something they can truly understand is an enormous benefit to our business and our customers’ success.”
Sharing the North American market
Because there are several other CME partners and suppliers participating in their own partnerships with REGO-FIX, all partners have an opportunity to share the same manufacturing market and provide educational opportunities by displaying their technology to other potential customers. This is something that BRW values most about being a CME partner and growing in an ever-changing industry. While a customer might be coming in to see a live demonstration on a product they already know they need, they can also gain technical insights on a variety of other kinds of manufacturing technology, including BRW’s software. Also, as a benefit of coming from a different angle of manufacturing, BRW can bring a fresh new perspective to North American customers and other CME partners.
Building connections through upcoming events
As the company continues to further establish its business in the Western Hemisphere, BRW looks forward to participating in more of the CME’s upcoming events. In the past, BRW has attended REGO-FIX’s Indy Days event in May of 2025, along with the Swiss Machine Tool Society (SMTS) meeting the month prior. Looking to the future, BRW sees even more opportunities to make a visit to the educational facility, including next year’s annual SMTS meeting.
