To better serve aerospace, defense and space industry customers worldwide, REGO-FIX has named aerospace manufacturing veteran Sherman D’Souza as its Global Aerospace Specialist.
D’Souza will provide global customers with ready access to REGO-FIX research, development and technical support teams to create and supply cutting-edge tool holding solutions to meet the rapidly changing demands of the aerospace industry.
REGO-FIX customers will benefit from D’Souza’s unique expertise, which is built on over 10 years of international engineering, design and manufacturing production experience in aerospace and new energy. A Missouri University of Science and Technology graduate with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering, D’Souza has held senior technical team lead and project manager positions where he developed and qualified new equipment, tools and processes. His expertise also includes experience at the enterprise level on machine accuracy, uptime and enhancement of operations workflow.
He has worked with multidisciplinary teams to reduce tooling costs and planned aerospace manufacturing processes, including building layout, capacity charts and high-level implementation. As a reliability and manufacturing research and development engineer, D’Souza evaluated overall equipment effectiveness to find opportunities to improve machine performance.
“Aerospace manufacturers deserve a true collaborator who understands the intricacies of the industry,” said Pascal Forrer, Global Sales and Marketing Manager and REGO-FIX Group Executive Board member. “Since the bulk of Sherman’s career has been in aerospace, he is the specialist global aerospace manufacturers need to meet complex demands and requirements.”
