Blum-Novotest is a supplier of cutting-edge, high-precision in-machine measuring systems to a wide number of manufacturing sectors from aerospace to energy to medical and more.  Blum-Novotest participates in the REGO-FIX Center for Machining Excellence (CME) partnership to better understand the intricate and often complex interrelationships that drive today’s manufacturing needs.

Since becoming a partner early in 2025, the company has seized the opportunity to connect with other CME partner participants that provide manufacturing services and technology while simultaneously capitalizing on the common ground between them.

“We’re just one piece of a 1,000-piece jigsaw puzzle that is the manufacturing technology landscape,” said Blum-Novotest National Sales Manager Casey Walters.   “We fit perfectly within the puzzle because we do our due diligence to understand how all the other pieces fit as well. We all have a unique understanding of other partners’ products and services as a unified front for the betterment of North American manufacturing.”

“Networking with and learning from other CME partners makes the entire manufacturing technology community more cohesive to better serve its customers, said Walters.  “We’ve been talking to several partners, and one thing we’re consistently hearing about is how CME partners have become an information-sharing community within the manufacturing industry in a variety of disciplines. We recently attended the REGO-FIX Indy Days event, and we thought it was not only a great opportunity to meet with the end users or the manufacturers that attended the event, but also for even more collaborative opportunities with fellow partners.”

Blum-Novotest is currently collaborating with other CME partners onsite and has advanced laser measuring systems on display at the facility. For non-contact tool and workpiece monitoring and measuring, the company’s Digilog (digital + analog) laser measuring systems are installed on the Kern and Kitamura CNC machining centers currently running at the CME. The systems provide highly precise measurement of tooling cutting edges and ensure workpiece quality before it leaves the machine.

As with any good partnership, their relationship with REGO-FIX is reciprocal, Walters noted. Blum-Novotest plans to hold its own event at the CME in the coming year and touched on how REGO-FIX is working equally hard for its partners by collaborating with them and attending their partners’ hosted events as well.

“They’ve taken time out of their schedule to visit our facility, and they’ve also provided a variety of their products to our facility for our open house,” Walters said. “All in all, we honestly feel this is a true partnership and not just a standard vendor-to-customer relationship.”
